Sally Vannoy grew up in Kalispell, MT in the beautiful Flathead Vally. Surrounded by recreation, she developed a love for the outdoors. Glacier National Park was a short drive and a place where Sally would spend her summers hiking, backpacking and observing nature.

Sally cannot remember a time when she wasn't drawing. Her parents collected western art and had many books of the old west and black and white photos of Native Americans. She would do charcoal drawings of the old photos. This is what sparked her love for western art.

After graduation from dental hygiene school and much encouragment from friends and family, Sally decided to pursue her dream of becoming an oil painter. All the years of drawing really helped her with her new adventure in painting.

Sally currently lives in Wyoming with her husband, Nathan. She is enjoying the amazing western landscape and has had the opportunity to work with some of the country's top western artists.
