Gregory C Gaylor is a contemporary fine artist, painter and sculpture who works in mosaics, creating phenomenal works of art in Mosaic Relief Painting. He retired as Director of the Community Fine Arts Center of Rock Springs after an exceptional ten year tenure and was an unprecedented value for the Fine Arts, Community and the Wyoming State Humanities.
Gregory C Gaylor attended the University of Kansas in Lawrence with an emphasis on sculpture and painting. He received his BFA in Mosaic Arts from the Center for the International Study of Mosaics in Ravenna, Italy.
As a mosaic and mural designer and installer he specialized in the design and restoration of mosaic floors, ceilings, walls, paintings,and sculpture; with expertise in churches, cathedrals, monasteries, convents and temples. Since 1981 Gaylor has maintained his 2,550 square foot working art studio, but now enjoys the long awaited, full time fulfillment to his work. Returning to his roots and his love as a painter and sculpture, he now works exclusively in mosaics, which has elevated him to a place in modern history.
