More about the Artist & his Art Charles W Adams was born in Oklahoma where he spent his early years working in the trades as a Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker and Welder. Although working most of his life, his love of creating fine art has always been brewing inside, evident by his workmanship and creativity, which has received so many awards and honors around the United States for so many years now. He says he's sort-of retired now, but he has been creating and sculpting more than ever in his studio in Arizona where he now makes his home. Charles W Adams also sculpts religious figures and has recently completed a high bas relief Limited Edition piece of "The Last Supper" which approximately measures 53"x22"x3". Most of Charles W Adams work is in small, limited editions of traditional lost wax bronze as well as larger editions of cold cast bronze. These cold cast bronze editions are unique, due to the hands-on work by the artist using his own rich cold cast formula. Charles W Adams uses the same chemical patinas on his cold cast bronze works as those used for traditional lost wax bronze sculptures and also hand paints some of his fine work.
